Openers, Pick up lines, and Icebreakers for August
Hey guys, it’s been a few months since I wrote up an openers of the month post, but here we go again!
Opener #1:
Would you ever want to make more money than your boyfriend?
(let her answer, acknowledge it, then move on to the background)
Background: Well the reason I ask is my friend Lisa, just got a a huge promotion at work and she now makes more than her boyfriend. They’ve been together for over a year and he’s always made more than her, but now that she picking up the dinner tab once in a while, she’s afraid he’ll feel emasculated. What would you do?
(Banter, then transition into a demonstration of high value story)
DHV Story: Well, I remember with my ex girlfriend, I’d pay for dinner most of the time, which was cool because I made more than her, but she would do little things to keep things balanced, like pay for dessert, or buy me gifts randomly.
(then transition into a qualification question to see if she meets your standards)
Qualification: So what’s the nicest thing you’ve ever bought for a guy?
Opener #2
Hey have you ever heard that song by Madonna, Justify my love?
(let her answer, acknowledge it, then move on to the background)
Background: Well my friend Laura wants to do to a striptease for her and her boyfriend’s anniversary, and we’ve been trying to figure out what the best songs are for it. I suggested Justify My Love since it has a really sexy, slow beat, and the lyrics are really hot, like “Talk to me….tell me your dreams….am I in them?”
(banter for a bit, then go into a qualification question to get her to invest)
Lite Qualification/Investment: So what other songs do you think we should add to the list?
