Hey guys, sorry for taking so freaking long to update.
But I’m finally in Thailand. Woohoo! Actually i’ve been here for the past two weeks…I’ve just been so busy that I havent’ had time to update my blog. But I plan to do so at least once or twice a week now that i’m settled in.
Here’s what I learned so far:
Time isn’t as big of a factor as I used to once think, what I do with my time is a lot more important.
I learned more about Europe traveling with Europeans than I did when I was actually there.
Going on a three day trek through the jungle with people from Switzerland, Holland, and Germany, was a culture shock.
Culture shocks are good, being too comfortable in my own keeps my reality really limited.
Having less “stuff” and material posessions makes life a lot easier and care free.

So what have I actually done so far?
I made it to Koh Tao, Turtle Island after taking two airplanes, an overnight bus, and a ferry…I made it. I found a really cool beach hut that I’m renting for $147US a month…which came with two black labadors as pets. And I bought myself a scooter type motorbike to get around for $300US. I was pretty much set, so I started hanging out on the beach, where I met this really cool girl from New Zealand.
We walked along the beach together watching the sun rise, and ended up having breakfast. She had come with another kiwi girl who was really pretty as well, so we all hung out together and explored the island. Two days later it started to rain, so we decided to spontanously take a week long trip up to Chiang Mai, which is the north of Thailand. They were awesome to travel with, and I met a bunch of other girls on the way…the first night we met an english girl that was looking for a hotel, so told her she could just share mine with me. Then on a three-day trek through the jungle, I hooked up with an American girl. It was kinda of cool hooking up under a mosquito net with eleven other people sleeping in the same room.
Anyways check back in a few days, and i’ll post up some pictures. I’ll leave you guys with a quote i’ve been compling together:
“Follow your bliss and you’ll never look back, always do what you think will make you happy, and as long as you’re smiling and breathing, everything’s probably alright.”
