Being funny/entertaining does NOT create any sexual attraction.

I came across this article written by Daniel Rose in the private Sex God Method member forums and thought it was the truest thing I’ve ever read in the pua community.

We’ve spent so much time learning how to make it look like we are attractive and getting laid all the time, but when it comes down to it, we’re often only impressing other men.

Number of girls in this photo I actually slept with: Zero

Thinking about the past 20 girls I slept with how many I “entertained”: Zero, they all entertained me.

“Being funny/entertaining does NOT create any sexual attraction. Of course it’s great to be funny and entertaining just for it’s own sake, to have a good time and laugh. But really, it will do NOTHING to make a woman want to have sex with you.

Here’s why: a woman’s sexual attraction to you is mainly based on her subconscious mind answering the question “will this guy be able to satisfy me sexually?” If you trip her triggers that let her know that you’re a sexually confident man, she feels irresistable, gut-level attraction. If you don’t, then she doesn’t feel anything.

Being funny or entertaining really has nothing to do with how sexually valuable you are. Although it definitely doesn’t hurt, making jokes doesn’t make her think you’re a great lover either.

IMO the reason why being funny is so vastly overrated is because entertaining funny guys LOOK like they’re getting laid a lot. They always have women laughing, touching them, etc…but at the end of the night I’ve found these guys typically rarely get laid.

I also know guys like Vin Dicarlo who couldn’t tell a joke to save their lives who get laid like crazy…but to the casual observer, it doesn’t LOOK like they’re anything special. It just looks like they’re talking for a while with the girl…then they leave to go have sex.

It’s kind of like the effect a super funny/entertaining girl has on us. Sure it’s nice…but at the end of the day we fantasize about models and actresses (sexually valuable women) not fat female standup comedians. Women work the same way….while funny is nice, in the end they end up going for the sexually valuable men regardless of humor.”

I think your statement is way too generalized that it comes off incorrect.

Humor is clearly a good indicator of social intelligence. Humor requires creativity and spontaneity which are both signs of social freedom and experience.

Also, your statement of how men perceive funny women is same as how women perceive funny men is flawed. Women love men that can make them laugh. Most women prefer fun & humorous guys over model looking guys.

I think your point was supposed to be the intent behind the humor. Are you entertaining others or yourself? Of course, trying to make people laugh is an unattractive quality as same as any other reaction seeking behaviors (e.g. dancing monkey syndrome). However, self-amusement is one of the most attractive quality there is for a man. It does contribute a lot to how sexually valuable you are in the eyes of women.

I’m not trying to disagree with everything you said. There were few statements that weren’t right. Laughter is spice of life, we should never underestimate it.

He’s just saying that men think they need to be the entertainer/dancing monkey and raise their body temperature and that will get them laid. But he is right the truth is if you want to get any sexual attraction you need to escalate sexually which can be done in a number of different ways but getting stuck just entertaining and not escalating will ultimately leave you to frustration.

Totally agree. For me I am a funny guy and I use it in the initial attraction phase yet, I show sexual attraction quite soon. If I don’t sprinkle a dash of seduction in the attraction phase than it’s going to be hard to explain to her I want to sleep with her later on.

Thanks for your insights and opinions Kevin, Nick and onesoul.

Reading the article by Daniel Rose again, I think that he definitely has a great point that most guys, pick up artists, get stuck at a huge road block.

At first guys can’t even talk to women at all, so getting an attractive girl to laugh and have fun is a big deal. Unfortunately guys get stuck here and never get past this. So the question then becomes, what’s worse….not being able to get girls to talk and laugh in the first place, or getting them to do so and never getting laid still.

This is true. Sexual attraction and being a funny likable guy is different thing. However, if you’re also a funny entertaining guy on top of being sexually attractive, often time women will chase you like CRAZY. My best wing here in dc is a natural and he’s very likable and fun to hangout with. He only needs to put in a lot of effort initially but after that girls put a lot of effort into him. Also, all his guys friends wants to hangout with him.

DavidD’s formula - funny plus COCKY is the aphrodasiac translate into comfort and then breaking rapport - AdamL. Same formula - this works like James Bond all the time :). Btw however hard one tries, cant work this on ANY woman the fugly ones!
