Johnny Wolf gets in a Fight.

I remember the first time I went with a bunch of PUA’s to Vegas, when we all got out asses kicked.

I met this really cute blonde white girl and both she and I got harassed by a big group of corn fed bro dudes. I had been making out with the girl on the dance floor where they started pushing me and took a swing. Luckily the security broke it up before anything bad happened.

Unluckily, we saw them again while walking to our hotel. One of the PUAs gets knocked to the ground, the other one runs away, and I’m stuck with three guys, one much larger than me punching my head. I tried fighting back, and that that moment more than any, I wished my dad had taught me how to be a man, and taught me how to fight. He didn’t, and I got my ass kicked.

Fight Training – DHV:

Asian Playboy once said “If you want get the Woman of your dreams, you have to be the Man of hers.” And if you can’t defend and protect the woman you’re with, you don’t deserve her.

So I started taking Muay Thai Kickboxing, and learned a few moves. However…I realized that practicing in a gym and thinking I would know what to do in a real fight was kind of like reading pick up material and never going out sarging. So I did it…I signed up for a Professional Muay Thai Kickboxing fight. And here it is:

I hope you enjoy’d the video,

All right! Still, if you were surrounded by 3 guys in a street fight I would get out of that if you can.

  2. TAllagash says:

having fought a couple times myself, the joy, growth i get from training is one of those core/instilled values/self worth, whatever that can truly affect your game/confidence overall

  3. O-face says:

    Well,

I am pretty certain that the corn fedguys didnt pick on you for nothing. As PUA guys we think we can go around stealing targets at random (thanks to douches like Mehow) and not pay for the repercussions. I am not saying that you did in this case but most PUAs do, I’ve lived in Vegas and I’ve seen plenty of PUAs do the same. well deserved though..lessons learnt!

  4. matrix says:

That’s awesome Johnny. I haven’t got in an a fight with with an AMOG before but I could certainly see where having some MMA or kickboxing training would be useful in the field. Heck, I could just around kickin-ass Chuck Norris style.

  5. Complexes says:

Were elbow strikes allowed in your match?

It looks like you knocked him out with an illegal elbow.

Screaming “bitch” after elbowing (illegally?) a guy who is the fattest Muay Thai fighter I’ver seen is a bit too much for me though.

  6. tartan says:

    Good fight!

Although I agree with the other guy that shouting bitch can be seen by some as bad form.

Having some MMA knowledge can be useful in a fight as well. Superpro in Samui have a pretty decent MMA class alongside the thai boxing.

  7. David Black says:

Nothing is a substitute for experience. This rocks man. I’ve been studying aiki-jujitsu for about a year and a half now. In addition to Muay Thai, I really recommend training in a ‘defense’ based system, such as Jujitsu or Krav Maga (taught to special forces units). Could have potentially saved your noggin from serious beatage in this situation.

  8. Johnny Wolf says:

Complexes and Tartan – In Muay Thai rules, Elbows are allowed and are both legal and encouraged. They call it the art of 8 limbs, fists, elbows, knees, and kicks.

David Black – You are absolutely right, “Nothing is a substitute for experience”
I’ve now learned that anyone who hasn’t been in a real pro fight has no right to even talk about what it’s like. Before I had real experience I too was just another dumb ass thinking I knew better when now I realize I didn’t know shit.

  9. Complexes says:

Elbows are allowed in certain Muay Thai matches but generally not in international competition, K-1, or otherwise because it easily leads to cuts that stop the match.

I commented because the overweight, fat Thai was dominating the fight and had many opportunities to elbow strike you, but didn’t use the elbow whatsoever. Could it be that a gentleman’s agreement disallowed extended elbow use?

It’s your perogative to talk American smack after the match of course. But to call this a “professional” Muay Thai match is disingenous.

  10. k.l. says:

i’m just curious. what happen to the girl? did she leave you? or did she help put a ice pack on your head?

  11. cccc says:

i studied muay thai for a while but quit after realizing that it will take about 10 years and the price of a car to get good, and even then it will be absolutely useless against the real street fighters who attacks in groups with weapons.

besides you can’t win in a fight, you either get beat up or go to jail/get jumped at for revenge.

    it’s good exercise though

  12. Dom says:

@ complexes: a lot of thais will refrain from throwing elbows unless it gets down and dirty. Especially if its a fight with a farang. it’s like teeping to the face: it’s not that common unless things get heated (tho elbows are more common). Still, good win for johnny, it’s always a good feeling to drop a guy!
