This is a very common question I get all the time, and there are a hundred different responses. The problem is most of the responses you’ll get on a forum online or through a PUA is something they’ve thought up and think will work, but never actually field tested enough times to matter.
All the ones I’ve read online, I tried out with horrible success:
“I don’t buy girls drinks.”
“Why don’t you buy me one instead”
“Instead of a drink, let’s go back to my place and share a bottle of wine.”
I started to think, maybe guys are just making this shit up in front of the computer at night instead of actually going out, trying it 20 times and then reporting back the actual results.
The two, field tested responses that actually work:
1. “Sure, I’ll trade you a kiss for a drink”
I only use this one if I feel that the girl is almost ready to kiss me, and I want to go for it:
The responses I’ve gotten from trying this on ten different women.
2 girls – Gave me kisses on the cheek – In which was a bit awkward because I didn’t actually want to buy them a drink for such a small investment on their part, so I changed the subject and kept gaming. You can also say, “that deserves a bottle of water or a soda” and go from there.
3 girls – Actually kissed me, nice kiss on the lips which turned into a make out. One of them I actually bought a drink afterwards, the other two we ended up just making out for a while.
5 girls – All the rest of the girls cut the thread themselves and changed the subject. This allowed me to know where I was at in the conversation and adjust from there.
“Sure, you buy the first round, and I’ll buy the next two”
8 girls – Most of the girls don’t want to pay for over prices drinks either, so they drop the subject and stopped asking. It made me look generous and not cheap, and it made them respect me and not make me look like a tool.
2 girls – Actually said okay and bought me a drink, which is a fantastic indicator of interest (IOI). Because they invest in your first, it’s okay to buy them the next round or two. I never ended up having a third round, so it was even money and we had a great time.
